Inclusion In The Event Industry: The Impact Of The Americans With Disabilities Act

We always make a point to propel the conversation forward about inclusion in the events industry. And to that point, we have a very interesting edition of #EventIcons. The Americans With Disabilities Act has been around for about 30 years. But recently, it was changed so that bodily functions are also accounted for. So this includes food allergies and other specifics that people in the events industry need to be aware of. As event professionals, the ADA something that we need to take into account, in order to both foster inclusion in the industry, and prevent major disasters.

And to further expand on the subject, we welcome an iconic guest, Tracy Stuckrath, founder and Chief Food Officer of thrive! meetings & events. She helps organizations worldwide understand how food and beverage affect risk, employee well-being, company culture, and the bottom line. In addition, Tracy works with organizations to create safe and inclusive food and beverage environments for event participants, employees and guests.
