Funko is the largest producer of licensed pop culture toys, making bobbleheads, vinyl figures, plush toys, and more! For twelve years, the Washington-based company hosted an annual Fundays event. Endless Events joined forces with Funko to transform their event into a fantastic experience for all. Investors, customers, vendors, and employees stated that this was “the best Fundays ever,” resulting in higher audience engagement and ticket sales in subsequent years.

  • With the excitement built from the first Fundays event partnered with Endless, Funko needed a larger venue to host their growing attendee count. Funko also needed to level up the experience year over year.
  • Funko lacked a dedicated event team, so simplifying the process and interfacing with multiple vendors and talent allowed the event to run smoothly with little interaction from the Funko team.

Key Results

Funko Fundays began as a small fan event in the ballroom of the Wyndham hotel. The year Endless joined as an event partner, we are proud to say the experience elevated to the point of the “best one yet.” Over the course of 5 years of working together, the Fundays event grew from 300 attendees to over 1,800 attendees, including a 4K live stream complete with a live product sale. Funko’s annual Fundays event is a highlight event to attend during San Diego Comic-Con, with tickets selling out in less than a minute each year.

Endless recommended the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel as it was the largest venue in San Diego.

Endless’s mission remained laser-focused on creating unique experiences for attendees to gain excitement for the brand and generate long-term buzz around the event. Endless suggested creative solutions such as kabuki drops and staging the event in the round. Seamless execution of these creative event solutions by the Endless Einsteins allowed the VP of Brand & Marketing Director to remain focused on big ideas and generating fun for the fans. Recently, Funko transitioned Fundays into a hybrid event, allowing fans worldwide to participate. Endless produced the first 4K live stream of San Diego Comic-Con.
