Minefaire

Launching a new brand of nationwide events, the team behind Minefaire needed a company they could trust for all of their events whether they were in San Francisco, Philadelphia, or Houston.

Objectives

Minefaire is the official nationwide event for Minecraft, one of the largest open-world video games. Minefaire sought to create unique experiences that captured the imagination of those who play Minecraft. Launching a new brand of nationwide events, the team behind Minefaire needed a company they could trust for all of their events, regardless of destination. Upon the first introduction, Minefaire and Endless Events knew they were an excellent fit! Having a consistent team for every event meant the Minefair team could focus on providing a fantastic attendee experience while Endless seamlessly handled the AV and technical production.

Challenges

  • Minefaire traveled to a new city each month, which meant a new venue in each major city.
  • This created logistical challenges as each venue is different.
  • To create a consistent experience from city to city, venue to venue, Endless needed to work on a national level, servicing each event uniquely.
  • Creating an excellent attendee experience was key to Minefaire’s success, as it was designed to be profitable and not just a marketing expense. 

Key Results

Minecraft produced Minefaire in every major city across the United States, reaching an entirely new audience and spreading their gaming culture. 

Aligned to a “T” in their goals, culture, and compatibility, the Minefaire team regularly referred to Endless as “part of the team,” with members from both organizations participating in internal team meetings and social gatherings. 

Solutions

Endless connected with each venue individually and trained the Minefaire staff on how to negotiate essential costs of the event, such as power, rigging, and other logistical fees. Endless’ budget counseling allowed Minefaire to spend its budget on event elements that created a better experience for attendees. As the tour across the country entered its third year, Endless worked with Minefaire to purchase regularly used equipment, driving rental costs down while keeping consistency from city to city.
