🔥 The Best of the Best:

A lot has happened in a week…

I can’t believe that just last week, I was writing about Coronavirus in such a casual manner. I didn’t know what the future held, and I definitely didn’t foresee Disneyland closing, Coachella being postponed, the NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAA taking a pause, the world in a pandemic, all events over 10 people being banned, people losing their jobs, and the events industry in turmoil.

Our Endless team just got off of our weekly conference call and had an explosion of things to talk about. From our personal health statuses to the current state of the events industry, to how we can help event planners.

This is a challenging time, but rather than back down and give up, we decided that we are going to commit to stepping up and helping our industry!

Today is going to be a little bit of a different newsletter. Rather than showing you our latest articles that relate to in-person events, we are going to shift gears.

I want to give you as much information as possible to help you convert your event to a virtual one.

It’s not going to be easy. This is new territory for the majority of event planners. But, a lot of companies including Microsoft are shifting to virtual events. Now more than ever is a time to get creative, shift our thinking, and keep our industry moving forward.

❌ Don’t cancel your event – make it virtual!

Last week I shared some articles and resources that support turning your in-person event into a virtual one. I have more to share with you this week and even more coming your way in the following weeks.

We continue to urge event planners not to cancel their events. The world needs events that inspire, educate, and bring people together now more than ever!

💻 Everything virtual – what you should know!

Okay, I know a lot of this is brand new. You probably know all there is to know about in-person events, but virtual ones seem like a foreign concept. So here are a few articles to help get you familiar. I know it sounds crazy, but virtual events can be just as engaging, powerful, and impressive.

We have been doing virtual and hybrid events for a while now. We are here for you if you need your event to be converted into a virtual one. If you are overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, we’ve got you.

📳Learn about live streaming – it can save your event

One of the most important technical aspects of virtual events is live streaming. We are so fortunate that we know a lot about this! Endless has worked closely with Morton Salt to execute live streaming their quarterly town hall meetings all over the world. You can turn to this option rather than canceling your event altogether. We have put together a complete guide to everything you need to know about live streaming your event.

Virtual Event ➡️ Virtual Reality

Virtual events and virtual reality kind of go hand in hand. When you picture turning your event into a virtual one, maybe you picture headsets and walking into a virtual general session. That technology for that is already out there and available. Brandt Krueger did a Whiteboard Wednesday episode all about how to use AR and VR at events. We also have a ton of information about how you can use this technology to your advantage.
