The Ultimate Playlist to Start Your Day

By January 20, 2015 No Comments

If one song can jumpstart your day, imagine what the ultimate morning playlist to start your day will do for you. We know how tough it can be to get back into your morning routine, especially after a long weekend, so we put together 10 songs that will be sure to fire you up! Whoever said mornings suck just hasn’t heard our playlist.

1. Uptown Funk

Start your day with a nice throwback to 80s funk and R&B by English producer Mark Ronson, with guest vocalist Bruno Mars. This dose of caffeine in music form is from Ronson’s fourth studio album, Uptown Special, dropping this year.

2. Up We Go

Get your morning motivation with none other than Canada’s electropop belle, Lights. The uplifting single is the first release from her latest album, Little Machines, and is perfect for your morning woes.

3. Centuries

We double dare you to try and not hum along with the chorus of this track. This catchy pop-punk tune from Fall Out Boy will have you ready to wreak havoc on the day, in a good way. Centuries serves as the title single for the band’s upcoming sixth studio album, American Beauty/American Psycho.

4. Sun Goes Down

Don’t let the title throw you off, this is the perfect tune to jam as the sun rises. The single features uplifting beats from German electronic DJ Robin Schulz, and soothing tones from British singer and songwriter Jasmine Thompson that make the hook irresistible.

5. Stolen Dance

The single from the German duo Milky Chance has everyone shaking it in their homes, cars, and in the office. Dubbed as folktronica, this fun and funky tune off the Stolen Dance EP will instantly put you in a better mood.

6. Fire N Gold

Every morning playlist needs an epic inspiring track. Prepare to take on the world with this pop gem from Bea Miller. The young star came in 9th place during the second season of the X-Factor, and she recently broke into mainstream music with her debut album, Young Blood.

7. The Days

Swedish DJ Avicii talks about overcoming heartbreak in this catchy beat meant to energize your day. Avicii recently dropped this “turn your day around” tune from his upcoming album, Stories.

8. Classic

Have you ever heard of nu-disco? The seemingly made up genre will make sense when you hear this chill dance track from the dance duo The Knocks. You won’t be able to resist the temptation to roll down the windows and sing along.

9. Living in the Moment

Take some advice from Jason Mraz and relax to enjoy the moment. This slower track is a throwback to his 2012 album, Love is a Four Letter Word, and its contrast to the energetic dance tunes makes it a great addition.

10. Heroes

End your playlist on a high note with this dance hit from Swedish DJ Alesso, featuring the sweet vocals of Tove Lo. The ultra, upbeat single is another sing-along anthem, ensuring you start your day off on the right foot.

We hope you enjoyed this playlist! If you’re looking for more ways to be productive, be sure to check out our blogs on productivity.
